Meeting Location

The InfraRed Working Group (IRWG) of the Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change (NDACC) organizes annual meetings. The next NDACC-IRWG meeting will take place at Hotel Botanico, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, Spain in the week of April 30 to May 4, 2007.

Accommodation

At Hotel Botanico 40 rooms will be blocked until the end of March. Special meeting rate including double room for single use and conference fee is 135 Euros/day/person + 5% tax.

The room rates are (special price for groups):

• Double room with breakfast-buffet: 140.00 Euros/room/day
• Double room for single use with breakfast-buffet: 110.00 Euros/room/day
• Double room "Ambassador" with breakfast-buffet: 240.00 Euros/room/day
• Double room "Ambassador" single use with breakfast-buffet: 155.00 Euros/room/day

So, if you would like to have an ambassador room or a double room for 2 persons you have to add 25 Euro per day per attendee as conference fee:
For a double room shared by 2 participants it is 190 Euro/day for both. For a double room shared by 1 participant and 1 accompanying person it is 165 Euro/day.
Please note, on Tenerife there is a sales tax of 5% on top of all the prices listed above.

• Monday (April 30): PROFFIT course or user meeting, full day

• Tuesday - Thursday noon (May 1-3): IRWG meeting, 2 and a half days

• Thursday afternoon (May 3): TCCON meeting, half a day

• Friday morning (May 4), 8.30 - 10:30: HYMN meeting,

Transportation

• Hotel Botanico is located in Puerto de la Cruz. Puerto de la Cruz is located at the north-westerly coast of Tenerife.
  On Tenerife there are 2 airports: Tenerife North (TFN) and Tenerife South (TFS).
  From TFN to Puerto it is about 30 km, from TFS about 100 km.
  So, TFN is recommended. Connecting flights via Madrid normally go to TFN.
  Holiday carriers from Europe often go to TFS, but some also go to TFN.

• The hotel offers a shuttle service. It is 115 Euro one way from Tenerife South (TFS) and 65 Euro one way from Tenerife North (TFN).
  However, taxi is cheaper: It is about 30 Euro from TFN.

• Furthermore, there are public busses operated by TITSA. Time table is available here.
  From TFN take line 102 or 340. Line 102 leaves every 30 minutes.
  From TFS take line 340 (only 4 times a day) or take a bus to Santa Cruz de Tenerife and change bus there.

• Of course, rental cars are available at both airports. Parking slots at Hotel Botanico are available and free of charge.
